Antique Diamonds
A collection of rings featuring diamonds cut before the advent of motorized faceting tools, and the period following, as the industry transitioned into more uniform brilliant cut diamonds. These antique diamonds were often less precise than modern cuts, but with more of the craftsman's hand evident in the shaping of each stone. Old mine cuts, old European cut diamonds, rose cuts, and the like, exude an intimacy, warmth, and a more obvious connection to the raw crystal shape of the rough diamond. These are diamonds often beloved for having personality, depth, and the handmade quality and details missing from their modern counterparts.
