Antique Opal and Diamond Ring

Fourteen rose-cut diamonds surround a dazzling round opal and are resin set in 18k yellow gold. We suspect this antique ring is English circa 1895-1905, and love its symmetry, patina, and simple-yet-substantial band. The center opal is approximately 6.5mm in diameter, with vibrant play-of color in blues, pinks, and purple, with flashing swaths of greens, and yellows. Beautifully made and in very good antique condition.
