Einkaufen soll Freude Bags

The poppy-orange text on these hand-printed paper bags reads "Einkaufen soll Freude Bereiten" - something along the lines of…get ready for shopping to be joyous. Each bag is block-printed with a repeating cornflower-blue flower motif, and seem to be sixty or seventy years old. We like to think they were bakery bags, but these may have been used to carry other small purchases. Each set of three bags is hand-stitched with string at the corner. We've been using them as wrapping for special gifts, and as overall inspiration.
