Iris Hantverk Baker Brush

The baker's brush, with its wide stretch of bristles, makes efficient work of gathering, containing, and sweeping up the drift of flour that accompanies preparing or working with dough and pastry. Also brilliant for tidying up around the coffee grinder or spice mill.

Crafted of oil treated birch and natural horsehair, which is known for its softness, strength, and elasticity.

Iris Hantverk brushes have been sustainably produced in a Swedish workshop by a small collective since 1906. Each bundle of bristles is bound by hand to a birch handle with stainless steel wire before being cut to uniform length.

Care: We like to reserve the baker brush for dry use only - briskly running our hand along the bristles to clean between uses. If a deeper cleaning is needed, wash the baker brush by hand with mild dish soap and warm water, and lay flat to dry. Oil the handle from time to time if the wood begins to appear a bit dry.
