Modern Steamer - Extra Basket

An extra basket provides flexibility in how you use your steamer: it doubles the capacity of our large steamer set and allows the separation of ingredients, when desired, during cooking. We like to arrange dumplings in one basket, vegetables in another. Or, the separation of faster cooking ingredients versus those that take longer.

Baskets are crafted of cedar wood with perforated terra cotta bases. They stack securely with each other and with the basket included in the steamer set.

The regular-height basket matches the one that comes with the steamer set, and is 2 inches deep. 

Rinse each basket with boiled water before the first use, then line with parchment or cabbage leaves, and add ingredients.
