Société Orignal Arctic Rose

Dazzling pink dried arctic roses. They're fragrant culinary gems poised to add an alluring floral accent to your cooking. Indigenous to North America, the arctic rose is common in boreal climates and in the Canadian North. These, in particular, are special, hand-picked on the Gaspésie seashore. Their tightly-bound rose buds are picked not only for their floral scent, but also for aromas similar to the agean wallflower. The aroma is also very similar to fresh clover once it's infused. Part of an exquisite line of small batch food products from northern Quebec-based Société Orignal.

In addition to the recipes above, a few ideas: make a flower pepper by adding these petals to your grinder / crush two parts rose petals with one part sugar for a lovely sweetener - ideal on french toast, brioche, or oatmeal / work into spice blends & bake into spice cookies or gingerbreads / make a rose petal tea by combining equal parts petals and loose-leaf white tea / sprinkle atop rosewater meringues before baking / a pretty addition to compound butters or a pot of brunch-time honey.
