Vintage Peugeot Freres Hachoir and Board

From a farm kitchen in Provence, France this rare board and single blade herb knife - hachoir - is a bit of an anomaly. We rarely see the knife and board together. When not in use, the knife is stored in a slot at the end of the board, it is steel with wooden handles, and a faint emboss on the blade - Peugeot Freres. A rustic beauty that has many decades of use ahead of it.

The hachoir is 10-inches at its widest. And the board measures 15 1/2 x 13-inches.
